At Lineage & Legacy our mission is to support, lift up, and encourage people who have lived experience with mental health and/or substance misuse challenges to embrace their stories of recovery so they can inspire, hope, resilience, and perseverance in others on their journeys.
We focus on the achievement and maintenance of recovery from mental health and/or substance misuse challenges using healthy language, practical tools, and community-based values to heal one’s past to prepare their future.
As a sister organization to H.O.M.E., L&L believes that in order for community members contribute to the betterment of society, we must first go deep within to identify and heal intergenerational trauma (lineage) enabling us to recalibrate and be intentional about the way we approach life, relationships and decision-making (legacy).
While L&L welcomes everyone, we particularly reach out to Black, Indigenes and People of Color (BIPOC) and faith-based/spiritual communities. Understanding the importance of being proactive, we also work with those who have not been diagnosed to help identify early signs and symptoms.
We offer a wide range of in-person, virtual and blended client-centered healing support services. Our certified behavioral health specialists begin with evidence-based self-reported rating scales to determine the most effective healing approach(es).
